प्रस्तावना:

स्वच्छता के महत्व को समझाने के लिए, भारत सरकार ने अप्रैल 2016 में "स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा" की शुरुआत की है। यह पहल 15 दिनों के लिए आयोजित की जाती है और इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना और समय-समय पर सफाई के महत्व को याद दिलाना है।स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के अंतर्गत  एक प्रमुख कार्यक्रम है। 

स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के उद्देश्य:

1. जागरूकता फैलाना: स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के दौरान लोगों को स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में जागरूक किया जाता है। वे सड़कों, गलियों, और पब्लिक स्थलों की सफाई में भाग लेते हैं और अच्छे स्वछ आदतों को प्रोत्साहित करते हैं।

2. स्वच्छता की अच्छी आदतों को प्रोत्साहित करना: स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा लोगों को स्वच्छता की अच्छी आदतों को अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है और स्वच्छता को एक जीवनशैली बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है।

स्वच्छता अभियान की प्राधिकृत गतिविधियाँ:

स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के दौरान विभिन्न प्रकार की  गतिविधियाँ आयोजित की  जाती हैं, जैसे कि      सड़कों की सफाई, वृक्षारोपण, लोगों को स्वच्छता के महत्व के प्रति जागरूक करने के कार्यक्रम, आदि।
