Constitution Day
Respected
Principal, teachers and my dear friends. Today, I would like to speak a few
words on the Constitution Day.
26th
November, 1949, the Constituent Assembly adopted our Constitution, laying the
foundation for the world's largest democracy. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Chief architect
of the Constitution, once said, "I feel that the Constitution is workable,
it is flexible, and it is strong enough to hold the country together both in
peacetime and in wartime."
Our Constitution is not
merely a legal document; it is a moral compass that reflects the values,
aspirations, and diversity of our great nation. It enshrines the principles of
justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity—the cornerstones upon which our democracy
stands tall.
As we commemorate
Constitution Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the rights and duties
bestowed upon us by this remarkable document. Our Constitution grants us the
power to participate in the democratic process, to express our opinions freely,
and to live with dignity. It safeguards the principles of secularism and
ensures that every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, or gender, is equal
before the law.
Let us also express our
gratitude to the countless individuals who, through their wisdom and
dedication, shaped our Constitution.
In conclusion, let
Constitution Day be a reminder that the strength of our nation lies in the
principles embedded in this sacred document. As proud citizens of India, let us
strive to make every day a celebration of our Constitution by upholding its
ideals and working towards the collective progress and harmony of our great
nation.
Thank you, and Jai
Hind!
